Choosing a web design company in Newcastle

Type in Web Design Newcastle into Google and you are returned with an incredible amount of results and way too much choice. So how do you weed out the good companies from the bad and pick your website supplier?

Let’s have a look at some of the factors to consider.

1. Quality of work

This is the first factor you can tick off your list just be simply looking at the home page of their website.  Does their own website give off an air of quality and were you wowed by the creativity? If your answer is no to either of those then head for the back button.  It’s astonishing when you click on some professional web design companies and their own website is really low quality.

If their own website looks great, then have a browse around their previous work section.  Are they consistently making websites to a high standard for all their clients?  If so, then you could be on to a winner.

2. Reputation

So they may have built some great websites, but does this company have the reputation for delivering late, adding extras on during the build and lacking in customer service?

Having a good look around their site for testimonials will help, however the website supplier will only post their good testimonials, so if you are still keen on this company, then give some of their clients a call and find out for yourself.

3. Are they local?

In this digital age it’s easy to call, email, message, chat, Skype and share a web cam with clients, but it still doesn’t beat that personal touch of discussing your website with your web company face to face.

A website is a long term investment and you and your web company will be together for a few years so you need to see if you have a good rapport with them and if you are both on the same wavelength.

Also would you hand over several thousands to someone you have never met in person?  For peace of mind, choose a web design company in Newcastle who can easily drop in to discuss any requirements.

4. Price

There are a lot or great, local, high quality web companies in Newcastle with good reputations, fancy offices and efficient sales people, but that could all come at a higher price which is out of your budget.

And there always seems to be your friend’s, brother’s cousin in his bedroom who will do it for peanuts, but tread carefully. Just because I have a set of spanners, it doesn’t mean I can build a car.

Once you have chosen your shortlist, drop them a decent list of your ideas and ask for a quick ballpark to find out who it’s worth proceeding with.  If their ballparks match your budget then get them in for a meeting to go through things in a lot more detail.

As you can see there are lots of factors to consider in choosing a good web agency.
