Choosing a Content Management System (CMS) for your website

When looking to have your new website designed, one of the main things you need to consider is – How I am going to update the website once it is built?

Websites are maintained using a Content Management System or CMS for short, and there are lots of CMS systems available.  The type of CMS that a web agency uses generally depends on their expertise and also what services they offer.

One of the most popular CMS systems you may have heard of is WordPress which is a free off the shelf solution. Primarily a blogging platform it also has plenty of plugins to perform a number of popular tasks. This kind of platform is usually used by web designers who would download and modify templates, add a few plugins and then you have a completed site. However, if you want something a little custom and a plugin isn’t available then you may have to shoehorn the way you work into that. Not ideal!

This is the exact issue we had when choosing our own CMS system, customers wanted functionality to match their requirements and not the other way around. So we made the plunge and created our own CMS solution. We researched other CMS platforms, took all the best features, sprinkled with some Way Fresh magic dust on it and Fresh Admin was born!

We have lots of favourite things about our CMS, but our top 3 are definitely:

1. It’s super easy to use

There is no point making something really complicated and our customers being confused how to use it. Fresh Admin is designed to be fantastically intuitive and if you do get stuck we have some video clips to show you the way.

2. It’s packed with features

Like most CMS systems, Fresh Admin comes packed with plenty of functionality including blogs, events, testimonials, jobs, landing pages, staff profiles, image galleries, videos, social media, banners, document banks, form collection and many more!

3. Perfectly integrated

All our CMS features can be seamlessly integrated into any creative design and if there is a feature that you need, then we can build it for you!
