Retro style websites

This week I have been finishing off a local hotel website that we will be launching in the next 3 weeks, in between this I decided to have a look around at some retro themed websites with old style typography and two tone colouring on textured pages. There are some lovely examples out there and a few that I wanted to share are below.

The Blind Barber

Using large black and white images with a retro style shop area.

Cascade Brewery Co

Beautifully done site love the old style illustrations on the central graphics.

Forefathers Group

My favorite site here, the footer and central areas are superb, attention to detail on the font and gradients etc. is first class. This one will definitely be incorporated in some way into a future web design in some elements.

Kitchen Sink Studios

Great old style icons on the lower area then a wall of fonts and colour under that, very pleasing on the eye and love the orange and green tones.

Trailer Park Truck

This one is created by one of the companies from above (Forefathers) and uses a similar style also introducing some nice illustration work
