Fraser Grant - Branding

Having walked around Jesmond and Heaton for years we had always noticed the Fraser Grant logo and name dotted around some of the houses and so we knew the brand and what their business was all about. So, when wayfresh were contacted a few months ago by the team at Fraser Grant it was something we immediately were excited about. The company had been using the same brand for quite a while and wanted to have a bit of a radical re-brand which took them away from black and gold and made them stand out from other student and professional lettings companies in and around the very popular student areas of Jesmond and Heaton etc.

The first brief was to rebrand their logo, and colour was high up on the list of that. The logo needed to appeal to the younger student market, but also come across as professional and not whacky in any way. At wayfresh we offer an affordable way to rebrand and relaunch your company logo which doesn’t break the bank.  Our way of creating concepts gives the client a great base of different options to start from. We also realise that logos are only one part of the overall brand of the website finished so we keep costs realistic!

Our intial logos can be seen below, all are a bit different and all of them use a form of house as the key icon. The modern and fresh colours are based on a teal and purple that the client had expressed interest in from the outset.

Logo Design Ideas

From the above batch of logos we added in a few more options and then got agreement from the client that the below logo ticked all of the boxes allowing a clean modern font "Brandon Grotesque" to be coupled with an A that represented a house roof with a small tweak to add in a small square to represent a house door. This allowed use of the A in isolation for example on Twitter and other media when they wanted to use an icon.

The final colourway for the logo can be seen below along with some additional artwork supplied for business cards and window stickers.
